Do you have JOY?
When I was a little girl my mother used LEMON JOY dish washing liquid....so we had always had JOY !
Once we were invited to a friends home for lunch after church. The lady had cooked a roast and mashed potatoes. She took the roast out and was getting the dishes of food ready to serve and my mom asked, " No, gravy?" . The lady mentioned she wasn't good at making gravy. My mom offered to make some really quick. The lady said the pan with the drippings is on the stove. My mom heated it up, added some flour and a little water and Viola', we had gravy. Everyone heaped their plates with the mashed potatoes and gravy! The man of the house was the first to take a bite after the prayer was said. My mom was smiling proudly....waiting for him to brag on the gravy. He had a funny look on his face, "Uh, what flavor is this gravy?" At that instant everyone took a test bite....then everyone had a funny look! My mom said, " I made it just like I always do!" Then my dad said," It taste kinda 'lemony'. " Then the lady of the house smiled sheepishly and confessed to forgetting that she had squirted lemon joy in the pan, thinking that she wasn't going to use the drippings! That day we all had JOY!
Psalm 5:11 But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee.
